The Byrne Group were today successful in securing a £150m Contract to build the UK technology hub for Santander in Milton Keynes.
Santander's flagship UK technology hub will form a new office which will become home to 6,000 employees and will bring staff together from the bank's existing offices locally together into one central location. The workspace is designed to encourage collaboration and offer a range of facilities for its employees.
Planned for an Autumn 2022 opening the building will be known as "Unity Place".
Once complete the new development will include:
An open ground floor area with world class facilities which will be available for members of the public.
Flexible collaborating spaces that will also be offered to local businesses and will include an Urban Market which will provide a variety of food and drink.
A Santander branch combining traditional banking with modern digital services.
A range of health facilities including a fitness centre, cycle storage and an employee rooftop running track.
With parking for 900 cars and 560 secure cycle spaces.
Designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold.
Byrne Group and Elmer Construction their interior division were successful in winning the project against the JRL and Midgard collaboration.
