Six Senses Hotel to open in the redeveloped Whiteleys in 2023

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

Close to London's Hyde Park, Six Senses London will open in Bayswater in 2023. The hotel, spa and wellness club will preserve the classic detailing of the former art deco Whiteleys department store.

When Six Senses London opens its doors, it will be home to 110 guest rooms and suites, a spa, unique wellness club experience as well as 14 branded residences offering access to the hotel's facilities. As a residence owner, they'll be able to benefit from the privileges that come with a Six Senses Home, including bespoke interiors, concierge service, dining, housekeeping and the wellness programme.

The Six Sense Spa will mirror the different energies of the city life, from the sensory stimulation and movement of the street to the stillness and calm of a quiet cafe or park. Highlights will include a 3,500 square foot area dedicated to fitness with a 20 meter indoor swimming pool, the Alchemy Bar and a relaxation room with vaulted ceilings.

On the second floor, residents and members will access a new kind of social and wellness club featuring a central bar and lounge, co-working spaces, a restaurant, wellness and treatment rooms.

Six Senses brand philosophy of connecting people with nature is central to the tone of the ground floor. It will feature a cozy lobby bar and lounge, all day dining restaurant with an open kitchen and seating area in the courtyard.

Separately as part of the wider £1bn Whiteleys redevelopment, Queensway will be given a new lease of life through a host of local amenities including a cinema, a variety of restaurants, retail outlets and 145 private apartments.
